Play Blackjack with Friends Online: Free Private Tables

By the BlackJack Streak team · · 5 min read

Blackjack is better with company. Someone groans when the dealer draws to 21, someone splits eights for the first time, and everyone has an opinion about your double down. BlackJack Streak lets you set that up online in about a minute: start a table, send a link, and up to four friends join you at Frank's table, free.

How to start a private table

  1. Open BlackJackStreak.com. You land at the table with 500,000 chips.
  2. Press Friends. Type the name you want at the table and press Start a table.
  3. Send the link. It looks like blackjackstreak.com/t/K7Q2XM. Copy it into your group chat, a text or an email.
  4. Your friends open it, type a name and pull up a seat. That's the whole setup.

Nobody has to download anything, and nobody needs an account to join. The table has five seats: yours and four for your friends.

Starting a table at BlackJack Streak: one link to send, and a list of the five seats that fills as friends arrive.

How a round works at a friends table

In blackjack, everyone plays against the dealer, never against each other. So at a BlackJack Streak table, each of you has your own chips and your own hands, and all of you can beat Frank on the same round. You cheer each other on instead of trying to knock each other out.

Frank deals to everyone from one shoe, in turn, just like a casino table. To keep things moving without anyone feeling rushed:

You're always in the middle

At BlackJack Streak, every player sees their own seat front and center, with friends around the curve of the table in the order Frank deals to them. Their cards are dealer-sized, turned to face them, with their name at their betting circle.

On a phone, where the far seats are off screen, every hand at the table is listed in the side panel, so you can always see what your friends are holding. There's more on playing from a phone in blackjack on your phone.

Frank knows everyone's name

Frank greets each friend as they sit down, calls their turn, and makes a fuss of their blackjacks. With a friend called Priya at the table, you might hear:

Frank says

“Welcome to the table, Priya! Pull up a chair.”

“Priya, what'll it be?”

“Look at that, Priya! Blackjack!”

And when someone heads off for the night: “Priya is heading out. Come back soon!” Meet the rest of his material in Meet Frank, the dealer.

When someone's connection drops

Wi-Fi wobbles and trains go through tunnels. BlackJack Streak is built for it:

The host sets the rules

Whoever starts the table is the host. The host can change the table rules in Settings: the number of decks (1, 2, 4, 6 or 8), whether the dealer hits or stands on soft 17, late surrender on or off, and reshuffling at the cut card or before every hand. The host can also reshuffle the shoe between rounds. If the host leaves, the next player becomes host, so the game carries on.

Fair for everyone at the table

When friends play together, nobody wants to wonder whether the cards favor someone. At BlackJack Streak, every player's browser adds its own random seed to the shuffle, and the dealer's secret seed is sealed with a fingerprint before the shoe is used. Nobody can choose the order of the cards, not the host, not another player, and not whoever runs the server. After the shoe is retired, anyone at the table can check it in the Fair shuffle panel. The details are on our provably fair blackjack page.

Badges for playing together

With a free BlackJack Streak account (email only, 18+), playing with friends earns badges of its own:

Your account also keeps your chips, stats and every hand you've played, and tops your chips back up to 500,000 for free whenever you run low. Guests can play everything at a friends table, but can't top up.

No money changes hands

BlackJack Streak uses play chips only. There are no deposits, no chips for sale and no cash prizes, so a table with friends is about the game, the banter and the bragging rights. Everyone starts with 500,000 chips, and it costs nobody anything to sit down.

Questions people ask

How do I play blackjack with friends online for free?

Open BlackJack Streak, press Friends, then Start a table, and send the link. Up to four friends can join from any browser, free, with no download and no account needed.

How many people can play at one BlackJack Streak table?

Five: you plus up to four friends. Each player plays their own chips against Frank, the dealer, from one shared shoe.

Do my friends need an account to join?

No. Anyone with the link can sit down as a guest. A free account, which needs only an email and is for players 18 and over, keeps your chips, stats and badges and lets you top up chips.

What happens if someone is slow or disconnects?

Each decision has a 20-second clock, and Frank stands if it runs out. A player who drops off keeps their seat for two minutes and goes straight back into the round when they reconnect.

Do we play against each other in multiplayer blackjack?

No. In blackjack everyone plays against the dealer, so at a BlackJack Streak table all your friends can win the same hand.

Can we play blackjack with friends on our phones?

Yes. The table works in phone browsers, the buttons sit under the table, and every hand at the table is listed in the side panel.
